Thank you Root. Do you think we're due for a correction to $30k in the next few months? I've been DCA'ing but I still have a chunk of money left and wondering.
Thanks for that article on Austrian Economics - I live there part of the year and what they are doing is, to me, incredible. People are generally happy, there is a safety net for all, the government seems quite responsive and responsible to the populace. Inflation didn't seem nearly as bad, regarding food prices, as it was/is in USA and living/rent is controlled and obtainable. Yes they complain about taxes but very few want to give up Austrian citizenship for American citizenship. :-o
Hi Rob, great and difficult question; I expect a revisit of the STH cost basis, which currently sits at 31k (and keeps rising). Personally, I’d instead take that as a reference point. Perhaps it’s a topic I can delve into deeper for the next newsletter, as there’s always some nuance needed. Glad you liked the article ✌️
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that the type of social democracy of today's Austria is what the likes of Mises and Hayek would endorse nor is its economic policy an example of what is commonly referred to as Austrian economics. Don't get me wrong becasue I'm just nitpicking the terminology - besides some questionable foreign policy Austria gets a whole lot right and it's a great place to live.
Hey I really appreciate your comment Danyo. I'm not a granular guy, my opinions are just based on going back between USA and Austria and the day to day dealings I have with people. So when you get granular on this, I'm fascinated and interested to learn more.
While I’m careful to not become overly euphoric, I am more excited about this upcoming cycle than any previously. The combination of institutional demand via spot ETFs, decreasing supply available, FASB accounting rule changes, and potentially further nation state adoption seems to be an almost unimaginable setup for bull market run we’ve not seen. I’m not entirely sure the argument of diminishing returns is totally true with bitcoin as we have never experienced an asset with truly limited supply.
The Fomo is real 😀! Increased returns are part of the HODL Model thesis. Actually, there’s a fair chance of increased returns, especially since many have low expectations (diminishing returns). However, I do expect some friction at prices above 100k, as it’s a level that was expected and not reached previous cycle. That said, I am as excited as you are to see this unfold! 👊

Thank you Root, this gives me the info I needed which is to wait for a correction and not fomo into the current highs.
