Bitcoin’s native time is a fascinating concept as the Halving, based on block time, traditionally has been the catalyst of each bull market!
And just like that, ALL CHARTS at the Bitcoin Strategy Platform are now AVAILABLE in BLOCK TIME!
Block time can be truly mind-blowing. Look at the alignment of the cycle peaks and bottoms in the chart below, where one rotation in the spiral represents one Halving.

It is important to consider block time in any thorough analysis of Bitcoin. Blocks do affect the market as they can be found fast or slow and fees can be high or low.
But when is block time most useful? In general, when we want to explore protocol native events like halvings, difficulty adjustment, hashrate, blockreward, and fee estimations, block time can’t be ignored. But the catch is that seasonal fluctuations aren’t captured, let me explain. As humans, we think in human time and are influenced by seasonality. Therefore, seasonality is better captured in the 4-year cycle (based on human time), rather than the Halving cycle (based on block time).
In conclusion, looking at both block time and human time is important. Still, my generally preferred method for market analysis — due to seasonality — remains human time and hence is the default setting on the platform.
